Check out this beautiful, modern, and hyper-functional kitchen created by Designer Angelica Henry of Angelica Henry Design.
“[The owners] wanted it all in a kitchen that would serve well for daily cooking as well as entertaining,” said Henry.
She achieved just that in this well-executed space:
Gray cabinetry matches with Caesarstone quartz countertops for a monochromatic palette and a linear design. “The tops had to be very sanitary and low maintenance because the owners cook twice a day,” commented Allan Rosenthal of Linear Fine Woodworking, the cabinet designer and fabricator for the project.
Halogen puck lights illuminate the top of the cabinets for effect and highlight the abundance of stainless steel, while the rest of room is lit by color-corrected fluorescent bulbs with filters.
For a functional layout, the kitchen is set in a triangle pattern so the sink, refrigerators and ovens are within easy access, despite the expansive area. “A cool, floating outer island makes the kitchen still look light in design,” commented Rosenthal.
“The challenges were creating a comfortable layout, making sure all products were low to no maintenance, and yet using some unexpected items,” said Henry. A large chrome, back-plated, glass-panel backsplash and an artistic cabinetry unit give the contemporary kitchen a twist of fun. “The simple linear quality of the kitchen is the standout,” she added.
